Frank Warren ridicules
Eddie Hearn while they travel home following a “Disappointing Night in Riyadh”
In the world of high risk boxing promotion, Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn are not strangers to being rivals. Nonetheless, after the epic event was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Warren took their rivalries to another level-literally. Following a decisive victory on that fight night that happened on 1st June, Warren added insult to injury for Hearn while flying back home with him.
The Event That Set the Stage
The showdown in Riyadh was different in its own way; it pitted Queensberry Promotions by Warren against Matchroom Boxing an outfit controlled by Hearn in a five-fight series. Every promoter selected five fighters from their promotional stable and winner would be determined based on best-of-five. With all fights won by Queensberry, they took the clean sweep with final score of 10-0. This dominant performance cemented warren’s position but the drama transcended beyond the ring.
He lamented, “Obviously a disappointing night in Riyadh, great show but long journey home, looking forward to a nice quiet trip.” Incidentally, Frank Warren appeared next to him. Hearn turned the camera towards Warren and the latter teased, “You know there was a five-hour delay on this flight and they reckon it is going to take five hours to get to the airport. And then after that, I’m sitting in row five. Anyway, high five.”
Sky-High Banter
Whilst travelling back home Eddie Hearn tried recording a video about what happened that night.” Of course it was a disappointing night at Riaydh great show but long journey home looking forward to nice quiet trip”, Hearn began his statement. However Frank Warren who sat next to him couldn’t resist talking too much about this matter, “You know there was like five hours delay”.
