“There’s No Chance in Hell”: Joe Rogan Shuts Down Comedian Friend’s Misguided View About Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou Fight

The clash between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou last October left the boxing world in awe and controversy. Ngannou, making his professional boxing debut, stunned fans by knocking down the reigning heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, in the third round. Despite this, Fury managed to secure a win by split decision, sparking debates about the fight’s outcome and Fury’s strategy.

However, a recent discussion on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ took a surprising turn when a guest suggested that Tyson Fury might have intentionally prolonged the fight against Ngannou. This speculation, which implied Fury’s reluctance to end the match early, drew a swift and fiery rebuttal from host Joe Rogan.

Brian Simpson said that in Tyson Fury, Francis Ngannou fought one of the best boxers in boxing. Joe Rogan agreed but promptly added, “One of the best, but a guy who’s been drinking and doing coke and barely paying attention and didn’t take you seriously. Yeah didn’t take you seriously, and you dropped him, but then.”

Bryan Callen also joined: “He also might have he also might have had an incentive to keep that fight going for a long time. I’m not saying anything, but yeah, I said it…Mike…Tyson Fury.” Now that was a shocker. Unsurprisingly, Joe Rogan dismissed the whole notion. Callen insisted, “He may have had.” Rogan called the Manila-born actor-podcaster ‘ridiculous’.

“The Ngannou Factor: How One Fight Redefined Heavyweight Boxing”

During the podcast, Rogan, alongside guests Brian Simpson, Bryan Callen, and Brendan Schaub, dissected the dynamics of heavyweight boxing, including Ngannou’s impressive entry into the sport. Rogan acknowledged Ngannou’s financial success from the Fury fight but dismissed any notion that Fury would deliberately prolong a match against such a formidable opponent.

“Tyson Fury, drinking and doing coke, barely paying attention? Not a chance in hell,” Rogan retorted sharply, countering the guest’s speculation about Fury’s mindset during the fight. The discussion highlighted contrasting views on Fury’s tactics and the magnitude of Ngannou’s impact in the boxing world.

Editor’s Perspective

Joe Rogan’s emphatic dismissal reflects a broader sentiment among boxing enthusiasts regarding Tyson Fury’s commitment to competitive integrity. The debate underscores the complexity of interpreting fighters’ strategies and motives, especially in high-stakes bouts.
