Shane Mosley Hits Back at Oscar De La Hoya’s Claims, Eyes Return to the Ring

Oscar De La Hoya, a legend in the world of boxing, recently stirred up controversy with his claims of victory against Shane Mosley. However, Mosley, known for his remarkable career and two victories over De La Hoya, was quick to respond, branding his former foe as “delusional.” The exchange between the two boxing icons has reignited discussions about their storied rivalry and Mosley’s potential return to the ring.

He asked, “Beating Sugar Shane Mosley? I wonder where was I at when this happened. I didn’t know that I lost the fight, I thought that I won this fight.”

Mosley’s Response

Mosley took to social media to address De La Hoya’s assertions, sharing a clip of the interview where De La Hoya declared victory over him. In the video, Mosley expressed disbelief at De La Hoya’s statement, questioning the reality of the claim. He humorously suggested that De La Hoya may be “doing drugs again or something,” implying that his former opponent’s memory might be unreliable.

 “So I don’t know what dimension Oscar is living in, if it’s  planet Earth. Where are we at? Like, when did I lose this fight? I didn’t. I didn’t know that I lost. Nobody informed me that I lost the fight. Wow, Oscar is maybe, he’s doing drugs again or something.“

 

Mosley, in another post,  “delusional,” as he wrote, “Oscar de La Hoya saying he beat me is delusional.”

 

A Hall of Famer’s Legacy

Mosley’s response highlights the satisfaction and integrity of a fighter who has committed his existence to the game of boxing. With an excellent file and a place in the Boxing Hall of Fame, Mosley’s legacy is cemented inside the annals of boxing records. “I want to announce that we just signed to do an exhibition fight with the official Celebrity Boxing.”
