Ryan Garcia’s Apology to Ex-wife Drea Celina Draws 2-Line Response from Sylvester Stallone’s Brother
Ryan Garcia, the young boxing sensation, finds himself at the center of yet another controversy, shaking the sports world and his personal life alike. Amid the fallout from his recent behavior, Garcia has issued a heartfelt apology to his ex-wife, Andrea Celina, following a series of troubling incidents.
A Series of Missteps
Garcia’s life has been a rollercoaster recently, marked by public outbursts and erratic behavior. It all started when the World Boxing Council (WBC) expelled him for making racist and Islamophobic remarks on social media. This was followed by an incident where he broke into Celina’s home in a drunken stupor, attempting to see their children. According to Celina, Garcia’s actions were not just invasive but also destructive, leading her to demand he focus on getting sober or face restricted access to their children.
“Ryan needs to focus on getting sober. I do not want anyone who is always under the influence around my children and causing harm and destroying our home physically,” Celina stated in an Instagram story.
“focus on getting sober” otherwise, she would be forced to limit his access to their children. “Ryan needs to focus on getting sober. I do not want anyone who is always under the influence around my children and causing harm and destroying our home physically,” Celina stated in one of her stories. To make matters worse, Garcia had also sent her threatening NSFW messages in her DMs. Now, Garcia’s ex-wife has decided to put her “foot down” and will be involving “lawyers” to make sure his visits to the house are “supervised”.
A Heartfelt Apology
In response to the chaos he caused, Garcia took to social media to issue an apology. In a video, he expressed deep regret for his actions, acknowledging the hurt he caused Celina and his children. “I woke up the next morning regretting everything I did and everything I said about Andrea. I came out here just to say, ‘I am sorry.’ Andrea, you are the mother of my children and will always have my love and respect,” Garcia said, retracting previous allegations of theft and infidelity against her.
Garcia and Celina, who divorced in January citing irreconcilable differences, share two children, Bela and Henry. Garcia’s apology also included an announcement that he would seek professional help. “I finally decided to get some help; I’m going to rehab. In the next couple of months, you’re gonna see a change,” he declared, aiming to return to normalcy and rebuild his life and career.
Garcia said, ” I woke up the next morning regretting everything I did, and everything I said about Andrea. And, I came out here just to say ‘I am sorry’. Andrea you are the mother of my children and will always have love and respect for.” With that being said, he took back all the allegations he made against her about “stealing money” and “cheating” on him.
“Irreconcilable differences” drifted the couple apart who got hitched up in 2021. The now-separated couple have a daughter and a son, Bela and Henry. “I finally decided to get some help, I’m going to rehab. In the next couple of months you’re gonna see a change,” He further said.

Support from Unexpected Quarters
The sincerity of Garcia’s apology caught the attention of Frank Stallone, Sylvester Stallone’s brother, who publicly supported him. “It takes a real man to take responsibility for their actions. We are all proud of you,” Stallone wrote on social media, adding a note of encouragement to Garcia’s efforts to turn his life around.
A Family’s Concern
Garcia’s recent behavior has also alarmed his family. His parents have publicly expressed their concern over his mental health, vowing to support him in seeking necessary help. “We are encouraging Ryan to get the help he needs. He’s struggling with mental health issues, and we’re doing everything we can to support him,” his family stated.
Garcia’s mother, Lisa, has been vocal about the negative influence of some people in his life, suggesting they are not helping him through these difficult times. “I know there are people around him in his circle right now that aren’t helping. Every effort we’ve made has been thwarted because they think they know best and undermine the efforts of his family and parents,” Lisa Garcia said in an interview with MillCity Boxing.
I know there’s people around him in his circle right now that it’s not within my power to say, okay. you need to leave now! Um, you’re not helping and even though they think they are, they’re not. Because every effort we’ve made has been thwarted because they think they know best and undermine the efforts of his family and his parents. And um, some of the people that are around…. couple of his staff and um are they not letting you around,” Lisa Garcia told to MillCity Boxing.
The Road Ahead
As Garcia embarks on his journey to recovery, the question remains: will he genuinely seek therapy and make lasting changes, or will this turn out to be another fleeting attempt at redemption? The sports community and his fans watch closely, hoping for the former.
Garcia’s apology and commitment to rehab mark a critical turning point. Whether he succeeds in overcoming his challenges and restoring stability to his personal and professional life is yet to be seen,
