Congolese heavyweight boxer Ardi Ndembo has reportedly died following his defeat at the Team Fighting League in Miami on April 5.

Viva Promotions released an update RIP Aldeen Dembo who passed away after being kicked out of the Battle League match on the 5th!

Ndemobo, a 27-year-old father of two from Brazzaville, Congo, plays for TCL Miami Assassins. He was knocked down by Las Vegas Hustle’s Nestor Santana and lay unconscious on the canvas for “several painful minutes,” Marca reported.

Ndembo was transferred to a Miami hospital shortly after his amputation, and a GoFundMe campaign was later set up to benefit his children by the Athletic Association, which pledged to match all donations up to $25,000.

Jeff Mayweather, Las Vegas Hustle trainer and Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s uncle, told SunSports: “Boxing is a sport you grow up watching and loving, but it has a lot of problems.

“People get killed in boxing. When something like this happens, the whole world wakes up.”

Ndemobo has a record of 8 wins and 0 losses in official matches, with 7 defeats.
