Mike Tyson Fight: Joe Rogan’s Chilling Warning to Jake Paul Revealed; Tyson Showdown Turns Serious

In a startling revelation, Joe Rogan and Roy Jones Jr. shed light on the true nature of facing Mike Tyson, sending shockwaves through the boxing world ahead of Jake Paul’s upcoming bout with the legend.

The boxing universe was rocked by the announcement of Jake Paul stepping into the ring with the iconic Mike Tyson. Scheduled for July 20th, the match sparked intense debate, with many questioning the wisdom of such a confrontation. Among the skeptics is UFC CEO Dana White, who has openly criticized the perceived mismatch between the two fighters, citing their age difference.

However, it was a past episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that unearthed spine-chilling insights into the reality of facing Tyson. During a conversation with Roy Jones Jr., Jones recounted an exhibition bout where Tyson showcased his ferocity by knocking down Cory Sanders in the first round back in 2004. Dismissing the notion of an exhibition match with Tyson, Jones emphasized, “going in the ring with Mike Tyson has nothing exhibition-ish about it.” Rogan echoed Jones’s sentiments, attesting that Tyson’s sparring sessions resembled actual fights.

He stated that Tyson had, “knocked Cory Sanders down in the first round of an exhibition back in 2004”

Jones also went on to state, “What is your definition of the exhibition because going in the ring with Mike Tyson has nothing exhibition-ish about it.”

These revelations cast a shadow over Paul’s preparation for the fight, hinting at the formidable challenge that awaits him against the legendary ‘Iron Mike’. With firsthand experience of Tyson’s power, Jones’s words carry weight, painting a grim picture of what Paul may encounter in the ring.

As anticipation mounts for the showdown, speculation over the match’s rules has reached fever pitch. Offering a glimpse into the potential regulations, combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani disclosed key details on The MMA Hour. While specifics are still being ironed out, Helwani revealed that the bout may be sanctioned as professional or exhibition, pending approval from the Texas Commission. Additionally, indications suggest heavyweight rounds with no headgear, mirroring Tyson’s recent match with Roy Jones Jr.

Speaking on The MMA Hour, Helwani revealed, “They’re still working on a few important details. Is it pro or exhibition? They want pro but that’s up to the Texas Commission. I’m told heavyweight rounds, they’re working on that as well. I’m told there is absolutely no headgear involved.”

Helwani’s revelations add fuel to the already blazing anticipation surrounding the clash between boxing royalty and social media sensation. As fans eagerly await further developments, the gravity of the impending showdown becomes increasingly apparent.
