Devin Haney Predicts Ryan Garcia’s Downfall: “Once You Have That Quit in You, You Know How to Do It.”

The stage is set for a monumental clash between boxing titans Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia, but as the date of their showdown draws nearer, tensions between the two fighters continue to escalate.

In a move that has ignited controversy within the boxing community, Garcia took to social media to leak footage of a sparring session between Haney and Gervonta Davis, dating back almost a decade. The video, shot at Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s gym, appears to show ‘Tank’ dominating ‘The Dream’ during the spar. However, Haney himself has since claimed that the footage was edited to portray a more one-sided encounter than it actually was.

Responding to Garcia’s provocations, Haney took to X to set the record straight, asserting that he held his own during the sparring session and accusing Garcia of misrepresenting the truth. The WBC super lightweight champion didn’t mince words, pointing to Garcia’s TKO loss to Davis last year and insinuating that Garcia lacks the resilience and determination to withstand the rigors of professional boxing.

The controversy surrounding Garcia’s actions has cast doubt on the upcoming bout, with fans and pundits questioning the integrity of the matchup in light of recent developments. Concerns have also been raised about Garcia’s behavior outside of the ring, particularly after a viral video surfaced of him discussing his cannabis use during training camp.

Eddie Hearn, Haney’s promoter, voiced his apprehensions about Garcia’s erratic behavior, adding another layer of uncertainty to an already contentious rivalry. As tensions reach a fever pitch, both Haney and Garcia have shared their predictions for the fight, each confident in their ability to emerge victorious.

Haney, drawing on Garcia’s past defeat and perceived lack of mental toughness, boldly predicted that Garcia would “quit” during their encounter on April 20th. The barbs exchanged between the two fighters only serve to heighten anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling showdown for the WBC super lightweight title.

He wrote:

“Never did they post a chopped up edited video.. 16 years old & in there holding my own. We bet AB pops & he honored it & paid! Ryan we watched u quit we are not the same & never will be tune in April 20th I’ll show it!”

As the countdown to the Haney vs. Garcia showdown continues, fans eagerly await the moment when these two fierce competitors step into the ring to settle their differences once and for all. With emotions running high and stakes higher than ever, the stage is set for a clash of titans that will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the world of boxing.

During a recent interview with DAZN Boxing, Haney cited Garcia’s loss to Davis, and said:

“We’ve seen Ryan quit before. And I don’t think this will be anything different. I think once you have that quit in you, you know how to do it. I think he’ll quit on April 20th.”
