“Davis vs. Martin: Sparring Session Drama Adds Fuel to Fire Ahead of June 15 Showdown!”
The upcoming showdown between Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin on June 15 has already sparked intense speculation within the boxing community. Despite Davis being heavily favored to win, a recent revelation has added a new layer of intrigue to the anticipated bout.
During a recent interview on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game Podcast, Davis made a surprising admission: Frank Martin had managed to catch him off guard during a sparring session. Recounting the incident, Davis described how Martin, a southpaw, landed a powerful blow that momentarily stunned him. However, Davis was quick to reassure fans that he quickly regained his composure and remained undeterred in his quest for victory.
“You caught me one time.” He further remarked, “I sparred already; he was scared to spar. I jumped on him. He’s a southpaw. He threw the brick hand. Boom! That’s what caught me.” He announced, “It wasn’t like, boom and… Hell no. Everybody in here know, if I get touched, I’m coming on that a**.”

Martin said, “Man, it’s sparring. We’re fighting June 15, I don’t even want to keep talking about the sparring. He was going to show me the video, he ain’t show it. He showed a certain part and then they got turned up and all that, but it wasn’t nothing that he showed.”
“We fighting now so the story of sparring, we can go ahead sweep that under the rug and when we fight June 15, it’s on,” Frank Martin added.
While the details surrounding the sparring session remain unclear, Davis’s acknowledgment of Martin’s ability to rattle him has raised questions about the potential competitiveness of their upcoming fight. Despite Martin’s undefeated record and impressive knockout record, many still view Davis as the clear favorite. However, Davis’s revelation has served as a stark reminder that Martin cannot be underestimated.
In response to Davis’s admission, Martin himself has downplayed the significance of the sparring incident, emphasizing that their upcoming fight is what truly matters. With both fighters eager to prove themselves in the ring, anticipation for their clash continues to build.
“You’ve been with Ryan(Garcia)..been drinking, been out with him partying. Do you have the skills to be out partying and missing(training)?! You don’t have the skills to be doing that. You started(boxing) when you was 15. If I started at 15..I’d be grinding(training all day). You trash!”
As the countdown to June 15 continues, fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of what promises to be an electrifying matchup between two formidable opponents.
