Richardson Hitchens qualified in the super lightweight division after defeating Gustavo Lemos. Also, George Kambosos Jr. now it seemed to attract his attention. Hitchens didn’t mince words before winning the knockout title. He downplayed Devin Haney’s efforts and criticized his fight with George Kambosos Jr. and Vasily Lomachenko.

“Everybody knows Kambossos is a secret,” Hitchens quips. He questioned Haney’s decision not to give Lomachenko a chance for a rematch, saying it was “the mark of a true champion”. Kambosos Jr. Not very happy about this news, and he immediately responded to Hitchens’ disdain in an old interview.

Kambosos chose a sarcastic approach. He simply said that Hitchens could “do a lot” with his new fund, giving him money to protect his championship belt. This shows that Hitchens did not have a title at this stage of his career. Hitchens replied, “Worst fighter in boxing history, idiot, you’re going to have one of the easiest fights of my career.”
