And now the Victorville native has raised questions about Devin Haney’s religious beliefs. That’s not all, folks! The 25-year-old boxer also appears to be wearing a doctor’s coat! how?
The rivals, who fought each other as amateurs, have been exchanging derogatory words on social media since their date in the ring was announced. But today, their debate went from devastating to downright crazy as Ryan Garcia revealed a cure for the elusive cancer.

In one of his “new normal” tweets last night, the 25-1 boxer wrote, “3 1/2 days early.” water and black coffee. The cancer begins to flake off. Trust me.” As fans tried to sway over Garcia’s revelations about his cancer treatment, Haney swooped in like an eagle and announced the real reason for his fast. He replied, “You’re fasting to gain weight…keep starving, man.”
Ryan Garcia, aware of Haney’s sharp reaction, wasn’t going to take it like a shy chicken. He soon joined Haney’s Ramadan fast. Spoiler alert: Haney was unable to keep his fast due to the fight. “I couldn’t even fast during Ramadan, so what’s the point?” Garcia wrote. Brother, you are all wrong. Find out this Saturday. ”

Garcia’s tweet was a slap in the face to Haney, a devout Muslim. So he immediately warned Ryan Garcia of his mistake. “Don’t talk about my religion…you don’t know anything,” Haney responded. But this was not the first time the two rivals clashed over Haney’s religion.
Garcia’s Christmas greeting hurts Haney
Back in February, the Victorville native appeared in an interview with Ariel Helwani on the popular podcast MMA Hour. During his stay, Ryan Garcia revealed that in December of last year, he had wished Haney “to be my wife for Christmas.” But the comment seemed to rub Haney the wrong way, and he ended up taking offense at the greeting.

In addressing the situation, the Victorville native made his position on Haney’s religion clear. “[Devin Haney] is an idiot. I’ve never disrespected his religion. I would like to make this clear now. First of all, I would never do that. Then you can show them your DM and say “Merry Christmas.” He took it as rude. Did you know that Muslims don’t celebrate Christmas? No.
