“Oscar De La Hoya Opens Up About Canelo Alvarez Collaboration Post-Lawsuit: Boxing World Reacts“

Legendary boxer Oscar De La Hoya has opened up about his renewed collaboration with Canelo Alvarez following the tumultuous aftermath of a breached contract and subsequent lawsuit. The relationship between the two boxing icons has come full circle, with De La Hoya expressing his sentiments on working with Alvarez once again, this time in the context of promoting Jaime Munguia’s upcoming fight against Alvarez.

Reflecting on the past events that led to Alvarez’s departure from Golden Boy Promotions and the subsequent legal battle, De La Hoya acknowledged the challenges they faced but emphasized his satisfaction at the prospect of collaborating with Alvarez once more. The journey from contractual disputes to reconciliation has been fraught with complexities, but De La Hoya remains optimistic about the future.

Having witnessed Alvarez’s demands for compensation and contractual amendments following dissatisfaction with DAZN and Golden Boy, De La Hoya navigated through turbulent waters to reach a resolution that allowed Alvarez to continue his boxing career under a restructured deal. Now, with Alvarez back in the fold, De La Hoya is gearing up for what promises to be a monumental moment in boxing history.

“Just like another fight in the books for us. We’re extremely happy and proud that we can get our fighters in this position. Just the way I got Canelo in this position. Now it’s Jaime and boxing just continues to thrive. And that’s what it’s all about,” said Oscar De La Hoya.

“We feel that if we can work with promoters the way we’re working with Canelo, the way we’re working with PBC, fights happen. And I’ve been preaching this for a very long time. It’s finally here. I‘ve been promoting this fight before it even happened,” he added.

For De La Hoya, the significance of Jaime Munguia stepping into the ring against Alvarez cannot be overstated. In the buildup to the highly anticipated showdown, De La Hoya has been vocal about Munguia’s potential to become the next Mexican superstar, a sentiment echoed by many in the boxing community. With Munguia’s impressive performance against John Ryder earlier this year, De La Hoya’s confidence in his protege has only grown stronger.

De La Hoya added, “And I’ve always felt that getting two Mexican Nationals in the ring at the elite level, there is nothing better to watch.”

As the Munguia vs. Alvarez fight approaches, De La Hoya is filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. For him, promoting this fight represents more than just another event; it symbolizes the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. De La Hoya’s vision for boxing’s future revolves around fostering partnerships and collaborations that elevate the sport to new heights, a vision that is now becoming a reality with the impending clash between Munguia and Alvarez.
