After Ryan Garcia’s fight against Devin Haney on Saturday night in New York, Garcia and his father, Henry, showed off their receipts.

Ryan Garcia remembers what former two-time Hall of Famer Timothy Bradley Jr. said. on ProBox TV’s “Deep Water” on what he learned from Garcia’s lackluster preparation. Judging by the circumstances of this fight, he will pick Devin Haney as the champion, and if he is wrong, he may consider leaving the boxing consulting business.

“Tim Bradley can beat my dick,” Garcia said.

The elder Garcia called “Deep Water” analysts Chris Algieri and Paulie Marigugui “lucky” when asked about his son’s preparation for the game.

Even though Ryan Garcia ruined his chance to win his first world title by unnecessarily cutting 3.2 pounds for a WBC 140-pound title shot, he outclassed Haney and Haney kept shaking him. twice in the first round, and continued to land his powerful left hand. knocked down his opponent in rounds 7, 10 and 11 to put the win on the scoreboard. As boxing fans, industry observers and possibly Garcia’s family watched the show on Monday, the “Deep Water” team had mixed reactions.

Alger brought Garcia his flowers.

“Ryan is a very talented guy physically and he’s proven it,” Algieri said. “He didn’t have much training because he was very talented at the time.”

Algieri reached under the table and pulled out a box of cereal made out of “the new and improved Raven.”

“We’re going to eat cockroaches on this show,” Algieri said.
Bradley,
meanwhile, was less appreciative after admitting that “with this win, Garcia’s future is bright.” He is the 100th position in the cloud.

Bradley, a former 140-pound welterweight world champion who gained weight while running in the scorching heat of California’s Coachella Valley desert, Garcia refused to pay the price. to become a world champion.

So, “This win, right here, I’m going to give you credit but put an asterisk on the side,” Bradley said.

Bradley boldly said, “My man cheated on me.” He arranged it.

Bradley’s tone was less judgmental, referring to his understanding of the decline in weight loss. “He has to learn to work hard, fulfill his contract and be a true professional,” Bradley said. – I’m telling you now, you can say nothing – these three pounds are important. If three pounds isn’t a big deal, why isn’t it weighed?
– Because he is afraid of what he will gain by three pounds. That’s why he was willing to give Haney $1.5 million.

Bradley said Haney was put in a no-win situation because of Garcia’s actions. Haney could choose not to fight when Garcia is weighed down.

“Everybody was talking about Honey, ‘Why are you fighting?’ “You’re scared of Ryan Garcia.” “Only three pounds…”

-Those three pounds will cost a lot. If the couple is 140 years old, the results may be different. The reason I say that is because these last three pounds steal your spirit and drain your energy. Ryan himself said: “Why am I trying to make 140? Why?”

Bradley remembers the days when he did this. He did it for the glory of becoming a world champion.

“To be successful, I would rather commit suicide,” he said.

He warned Garcia, “You signed a contract to build and you knew you couldn’t live up to that burden.”

– then you get in the ring and fight someone who can handle that weight. You have the advantage. It was tough for Devin Haney, and it all came back to bite him in the back.

–Ryan, the reason you don’t want to gain weight is because you don’t want to weaken your resolve when you know Haney is going to get weaker and weaker, [Haney] is going to keep trying to gain [weight]. – Now you have this advantage, every time you touch, you shake. Because you are full of energy to fight. “There is a star around this victory.”
