Promoter Ben Shalom has hit back at Matchroom Boxing and its CEO Frank Smith in recent weeks and months, calling Smith “jealous and unprofessional”.

Shalom was heavily criticized by Smith and Matchroom for not agreeing to three fights scheduled for this year – Adam Azim vs. Dalton Smith and Caroline Dubois vs. Beatrice Ferreira and Isaac Chamberlain vs. Orange Chef. In response, Frank Smith attacked the young promoter, saying he was wasting Matchroom, fans and boxers by waiting until the last minute to pull out of the offer.

However, Shalom told iFL TV that he believes Frank Smith’s hatred for him goes beyond that, and he believes Hearn’s right-hand man would be jealous of his achievements to date, and because he is his master.

I think I was a little jealous [because] I was younger than him and I managed my own business, but I also appreciated his advice. Despite
