Adrien Broner Threatens to Shoot Blair Cobbs at Press Conference: “For Real”

The world of boxing is no stranger to controversy, but Adrien Broner may have just crossed a line. At the final press conference for his upcoming fight, Broner threatened to shoot his opponent Blair Cobbs, leaving attendees in shock and raising serious concerns about his behavior.

Broner’s Explosive Entrance

Adrien Broner arrived late to the “Fists of Fury” media event, held ahead of his bout this Friday. His entrance was marked not just by tardiness, but by a rant filled with threats and admissions of past criminal activities. “The Problem” Broner didn’t hold back, making it clear that he’s ready to resort to violence if disrespected.

Threats of Violence

Taking the podium, Broner stated ominously, “I don’t play no games because my n***** got guns with them, bro, and I’m dead serious, bro. All I got to do is point and they are going to blow. I’m dead serious, bro.”

The boxer’s tirade continued, with him claiming, “Me and my n****, we already beat bodies, and they are still looking for me. Every charge has been acquitted, so don’t come up here playing, and don’t make no false moves. I’m not playing. I will smack the s*** out of you, for real. I’m not here to play no games. So, we are going to promote the fight, but just be respectful and don’t do no dumb s***. I’m serious, bro, for real, because I’m going to shoot you in your s***.”

Serious Implications

Broner’s comments have serious implications, potentially putting him in legal jeopardy once again. His history of legal troubles only amplifies the severity of his threats. The statements made during the press conference have prompted concerns from various quarters, including Don King’s team, who were seen scrambling behind him during his rant.

Weight Struggles and Personal Battles

Aside from his threats, Broner also addressed his ongoing struggles with making weight and the personal battles he faces. He apologized for his tardiness, explaining, “I want to thank everyone for showing up, and I apologize for being late. You can’t fight for me. You guys aren’t going to lose this weight for me. And you guys sure aren’t going to run your mouth for me. So, I am not going to stop doing what I am doing just to please you.”

Apology and Acknowledgment

Despite his aggressive tone, Broner took a moment to thank Don King, acknowledging the promoter’s unwavering support. “A lot of people said I wasn’t going to show up. People even got Don King saying I wasn’t going to show up. But I showed up. Sometimes, you just have to make everyone a believer. A lot of people have turned their back on me and shut their doors on me. There was only one man who would take a chance on me, and that was Don King. That door stayed open, and I came in, and now I am here.”

Fight Night Expectations

Broner’s remarks have set the stage for a highly charged fight night. “I apologize, Don, but I want to thank you because you’re the only one who is putting hundreds back in my pocket. I am here to put my life on the line. On June 7 I am not coming to just put on a show for the fans. I am coming to die if I have to.”

Viewing Information and Tickets

The fight card will be broadcast via Triller TV, DonKing.com, and Itube247.com, with limited tickets available through Ticketmaster. Tickets are priced starting at $75, with VIP tables available for $5,500.

A Look Ahead

The upcoming bout, part of Don King Productions’ “Fists of Fury” boxing event, promises to be intense. The fight will take place at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. As the fight approaches, all eyes are on whether Broner’s threats will have repercussions and how this will impact the bout with Blair Cobbs.
