In 2022, George Kambosos Jr. fought Devin Haney for 24 rounds on Australian soil, losing twice.

Kambosos is well aware of the superior skills of Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) Supreme and “The Dream” when he faces Ryan Garcia (24- 1, 20 KOs) York.

While many punters and bookmakers are backing Haney, a -900 bet winner, to beat Garcia, he seems unfazed by the fight, so does Kambosos.

— I talked to Devin Haney [last week]. They have a good relationship and respect each other. – I don’t see Garcia winning this fight. I think Devin is getting better and I think this is too much for him. Two different fans. Devin is very emotional and Ryan talks about the man who killed Tupac Shakur and he knows everything. He was talking about something else. This affects the size of the conflict. Devin Haney wins and I don’t see how Ryan wins.

Garcia was 3.2 pounds over the 140-pound limit on Friday.

– Will there be a breakup? I know for sure. Ryan is a tough guy. Boxing is a fun game. We expect one thing and get another. This is an exciting fight. Good for boxing.

– [Garcia and I] have two types of fights. Ryan is a great guy. I think that’s a real issue. He also has amazing speed. But the thing about Devin is that you have to fight for him. I tried everything but he thinks you are fighting for him.

Kambosos (21-2, 10 KO) faces Vasily Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KO), who last met in May of last year and lost a unanimous decision to Haney. Kambosos vs. Lomachenko will fight on May 12 at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia (it will be on ESPN in the US on May 11).

Ashley’s thoughts:

George Kambosos Jr. He is a veteran boxer who has shared the ring with Devin Haney and has won against Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia Garcia spoke candidly about his upcoming fight. Kambosos, who fought Haney for a total of 24 rounds in 2022, knows Haney’s abilities and believes Haney’s skills will be difficult for Garcia to overcome.

In a recent conversation with Haney, Kambosos noted the mutual respect between the two fighters, which reflects Haney’s progress in the sport. While crediting Garcia’s skill and speed, Kambosos maintains that Haney’s technical ability and fighting style will dominate this fight.

Garcia struggled to make weight recently, weighing 3.2 pounds over the 140-pound limit, raising questions about his conditioning and fight preparation. However, Kambosos acknowledged Garcia’s toughness and unpredictability in boxing and praised the excitement and excitement of the fight.

Kambosos looks back on his upcoming fight with Vasily Lomachenko, comparing his experience with Haney to the Garcia challenge. While Kambosos respects Garcia as a fighter, he believes Haney’s strategic approach and dedication to the sport will lead to victory.

As anticipation for the Haney-Garcia match rises, Kambosos’ insight is a great insight from someone who has shared the ring with one of the competitors. His predictions add to the excitement surrounding the fight and emphasize the importance of skill, strategy and determination in the world of professional boxing.
