Ryan Garcia will be confident heading into his fight against Devin Haney on April 20th.

Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) believes a victory over Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) in Brooklyn, New York could make him the face of boxing. It may not be that easy, but he considers it part of the journey. Garcia gave a number of predictions and thoughts on what fans can expect during Tuesday’s lunchtime media workout in Dallas, Texas.

First of all, Garcia believes Haney is not at his level. That said, Haney is a two-division world champion and undisputed lightweight champion, defeating the respected Regis Prograis in his last bout for the WBC junior welterweight title. That’s not a perfect match from an analytical or sporting perspective, but the fact remains that Garcia, the betting underdog, seems to take it as his truth.

In a media interview broadcast on Golden Boy Promotions’ YouTube page, Garcia said,

“It’s going to be an easy job for me,” but he’s not at my level and never will be. Never. He’s a good fighter, but he’s not on my level. ”

Part of Garcia’s confidence appears to come from his belief that he is now at the peak of his sports career. Garcia admitted in an interview with Beto Duran that he feels he is at the beginning of his prime. He’s improved as he’s gotten older and feels like he’s reaching his limits as a fighter.

Garcia, who is hugely popular on social media with millions of followers, added: “It’s going to be the atmosphere, it’s going to be the movie.” What I want to tell everyone who comes to the arena is that cool chants are what makes a difference. , I want to feel the vibrations in the room. I want you to scream at Haney and scare him, and I will destroy this man. ”

Garcia has never won a world title, but he firmly believes this fight will be his greatest achievement.

The challenger speaks as if he were the champion. Garcia’s incredible confidence in the build-up and at least unconventional behavior on social media led to doubts about whether Garcia would even be available for the match.

Garcia addressed this in his closing remarks, stating that he believed Haney was hoping to miss the match. Instead, Garcia boldly boasted that he would win it all and take over boxing.

“My intention is to prove myself,” explained Garcia, who believes that winning this fight will make him the best fighter in the world. “I need to keep fighting and prove it, become a champion in multiple weight classes and dethrone the king of boxing.”

Ashley’s opinion:

Ryan Garcia’s confidence ahead of his fight with Devin Haney is evident as he envisions a victory that will catapult him to the top of boxing. Despite Haney’s impressive record and accolades, Garcia insists on his superiority and believes his upcoming fights will be stepping stones to greatness. While some may question Garcia’s courage, there is no denying his unwavering belief in his abilities and his determination to make his mark in the ring.
