Shocking Twist: Fundora vs. Spence Jr. Brewing, Crawford Left in the Dust, Says Hearn!

In a shocking turn of events, Eddie Hearn, the renowned boxing promoter, has dealt a major blow to Terence Crawford’s hopes of facing Sebastian Fundora in the ring. With tensions running high and speculation rife following Fundora’s recent triumph over Tim Tszyu, Hearn has revealed that Crawford is effectively out of contention for the highly anticipated showdown.

Amidst swirling rumors and mounting anticipation, Hearn’s declaration has sent shockwaves through the boxing world, reshaping the landscape of potential matchups for Fundora. Speaking candidly to the media, Hearn outlined the intricate dynamics at play, shedding light on the likelihood of a clash between Fundora and Errol Spence Jr., while effectively ruling out Crawford from the equation.

With the spotlight firmly on Fundora’s future endeavors, Hearn emphasized the logistical challenges surrounding a potential rematch between Fundora and Tszyu, hinting at the presence of a rematch clause that could complicate matters. Nevertheless, Hearn expressed optimism about the financial prospects of a rematch, citing the allure of a lucrative payday for Fundora.

“Firstly, is there a rematch clause? I think Tszyu’s team says there is. Sampson said there’s a verbal one. I mean I can’t believe you would enter a fight 12 days out to save a show as the champion and not have a rematch clause. So, I’m presuming they have one,” said Hearn.

“If they don’t and regardless of what Sampson says, who’s a lovely man, a verbal contract means absolutely nothing. You can say, ‘We’re going to honor our word.’ [But,] there’s no terms,” Hearn added.

However, in a decisive shift, Hearn underscored the pivotal role played by promotional affiliations, highlighting the significance of Fundora and Spence Jr.’s shared association with the PBC (Premier Boxing Champions). This critical factor, according to Hearn, significantly boosts the likelihood of a showdown between the two formidable fighters, effectively sidelining Crawford from contention.

“What I think will happen again talking about PBC. Crawford is not with the PBC. So, therefore, unless the PBC can capture Crawford, they won’t do the fight against Fundora,” said Eddie Hearn.

Amidst fervent speculation and fervid anticipation, Hearn’s revelation has ignited a firestorm of debate and discussion within the boxing community. With Crawford effectively sidelined, the stage is set for a potential blockbuster showdown between Fundora and Spence Jr., promising an electrifying clash between two of the sport’s most dynamic talents.

As fans eagerly await further developments, the looming prospect of Fundora vs. Spence Jr. looms large on the horizon, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the future of boxing’s super-welterweight division. Stay tuned for more updates as the saga unfolds, and brace yourselves for what promises to be an epic showdown between two titans of the ring.

“I think you’ll either see Fundora against Tszyu or Fundora against Spence. I don’t think you will see Fundora against Crawford,” concluded Hearn.
