Ryan Garcia is already evaluating opportunities ahead of his fight against Devin Haney on April 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) spoiled his fight against Haney (31-01, KO) before the all-California event and challenged the WBC World with his fearsome behavior and his attitude towards misconceptions. 15KOs) Haney currently holds the lightweight title. However, “King Ry” confirmed in a recent FightHub TV interview that he is very excited about the opportunity to face Isaac Cruz. Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) put on a good show against Rolando Romero (15-2, 13 KOs), claiming an eighth-round stoppage to lift “Rolly” Romero’s WBA world title empire. This is his first world title defense since winning the title against Ismael Barroso last May. After the victory, Cruz chose Garcia as his opponent. Cruz-Romero is the headliner of the bloodbath between Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora on March 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas’ Main Event.

Earlier this year, promoter Oscar De La Hoya announced Cruz as an opponent while negotiations with Haney and Romero dragged on. Finally, when Super Champs confirmed Cruz as Romero’s opponent, Garcia signed a contract to fight Haney. Responding to Cruz’s desire to fight him, Garcia believes that the new WBA champion will do well for him and that he will be happy with the way Cruz fights, in when the Mexican compares to his new opponent Oscar Duarte. – This is my favorite look of all time.

“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve faced guys like (Cruz), fought guys like that, been in the gym with guys like that,” Garcia said.

and FightHub TV. He’s younger than [Oscar] Duarte. Duarte fights the same way, but bigger, slower and less aggressive. However, they are very similar. They can deny everything, but Duarte and Cruz are very similar. ” Garcia believes he can beat Cruz in five rounds.

“I’m just fighting a smaller division, maybe better than Duarte,” Garcia said.

But I can because I beat Duarte. I thought I could beat “Pitbull” in five rounds. It was easy to kill him with a challenge because he kept coming at me. He needs to eat something. ”

Ashley’s View:

It looks like Ryan Garcia is considering other options when he fights Devin Haney on April 20 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. However, he seemed troubled by his pre-fight performance.

Garcia’s recent interview with FightHub TV revealed that he is open to facing Isaac Cruz. Cruz stunned Rolando Romero to win the WBA world title. Promoter Oscar De La Hoya previously announced Cruz as Garcia’s opponent in lengthy negotiations with Haney and Romero. Garcia likes Cruz’s aggressive nature, and believes it will give him more power. Like former opponent Oscar Duarte, Garcia is confident of his ability to beat Cruz in five rounds.

While Garcia’s confidence is evident, it’s important that he remains focused on his current challenge with Haney and avoids underestimating future opponents. His dedication to boxing and determination to succeed are qualities to admire and we will be excited to see how he does after his next fight.
