Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder Showdown Set for September 2024 Pending Zhang’s Promise

The heavyweight boxing world is abuzz with excitement as Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder’s long-awaited clash edges closer to reality. Following Joshua’s triumphant victory over Francis Ngannou, the British boxing sensation has set his sights on a showdown with Wilder, slated for September 2024. However, the much-anticipated bout hangs in the balance, contingent upon a promise made by Zhilei Zhang, Wilder’s upcoming opponent.

Zhang’s Bold Claim Sparks Anticipation

In a recent interview, Zhilei Zhang, set to face Wilder in a highly anticipated showdown, boldly proclaimed his intent to be Wilder’s final opponent. Zhang’s confident declaration, coupled with his assurance of delivering a thrilling showdown against the ‘Bronze Bomber,’ has added an electrifying dimension to the heavyweight landscape. With both fighters known for their knockout power, fans eagerly anticipate a showdown of epic proportions.

Joshua’s Wembley Vision Hinges on Zhang’s Promise

In a candid revelation to TalkSport, Anthony Joshua unveiled plans for a potential bout against Wilder at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium. However, Joshua emphasized that Wilder must ensure Zhang does not fulfill his vow to end Wilder’s career prematurely. With the prospect of a historic showdown looming, Joshua remains steadfast in his pursuit of securing a blockbuster bout against his formidable rival.

Saudi Arabia Eyes Joshua-Fury Showdown

As anticipation mounts for Joshua’s showdown with Wilder, Saudi Arabian officials, led by HE Turki Alalshikh, are working tirelessly to orchestrate a potential clash between Joshua and WBC champion Tyson Fury. While Joshua eagerly awaits the outcome of Fury’s impending bout against Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for May 18, Saudi Arabia aims to deliver the ultimate spectacle for boxing fans worldwide.

Joshua’s Path to Fury Encounter

In his quest for boxing supremacy, Anthony Joshua remains focused on overcoming formidable challenges, including potential clashes with Wilder and Fury. With HE Turki Alalshikh spearheading efforts to deliver high-stakes matchups, Joshua’s aspirations for a showdown with Fury hinge on navigating a complex web of obligations and contractual arrangements. As fans eagerly await the outcome of Fury’s showdown with Usyk, Joshua’s determination to seize his moment in the ring remains unwavering.

He noted, “I will be his last dance partner. I don’t know if he will see the end of the dance, but I will make sure he enjoys it…Me and Deontay are both big punchers. When Chinese power vs. Alabama power, we’re going to bang the heck out of each other. Don’t blink. Everything happens in one punch.”

As the heavyweight division braces for seismic clashes and potential history-making moments, fans worldwide eagerly await the unfolding drama in the ring. With Joshua, Wilder, and Fury poised to captivate audiences with their unparalleled skill and determination, the stage is set for an unforgettable chapter in boxing’s storied legacy.

The Londoner explained, “Let’s go, 110 per cent. I think that if he goes out there and looks good that will kind of reignite that flame he had. Boxing is all about perception. You can look bad one fight, go out there the next fight and look good, then everyone says, ‘Yeah, he’s back.’”

“He’s trying to deliver what the fans want. I know they want that big fight with Tyson Fury and he’s working on it…But Fury’s got his obligations with Oleksandr Usyk so I’ve gotta make sure I stay focused and disciplined, keep steamrolling through opponents so I can get closer and closer to having the opportunity of me vs Tyson Fury,” he explained.
