Now Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul is a real fighter, and the debate should begin.

That’s what happened on Monday’s episode of “Deep Water” on ProBox TV when former world champions Timothy Bradley Jr., Paulie Malignaggi and Chris Algieri discussed the decision of the Texas Department of Licensing and Law Enforcement to recognize Tyson Paul as a legitimate professional fighter.

“They want (gambling) opportunities,” Malignaggi assessed. “If this was a show, it wouldn’t be very good.”

That same opinion also suggests that attendance and Netflix ticket sales will increase at AT&T Stadium now that the Texas commissioner has decided to allow Tyson Paul to continue fighting. By declaring the fight an official contest, Texas imposed special restrictions, requiring eight two-minute rounds with 14-ounce (rather than 10-ounce) gloves, but allowed knockouts.

This is fine with Bradley, who is very interested in the 57-year-old YouTuber competing with former UFC champion Ben Askren, Anderson Silva won a boxing match against Nate Diaz.

“Mike Tyson, kill him, boy!” shouted Bradley. — At first, I thought this was a little crazy, but then I saw the rules — Knockout! – It’s official. This is possible. Two minutes to help Mike Tyson. No idea, friends.

Ø Exercise for two minutes. He did the same thing that Mike Tyson was on fire in the first four rounds, pushing (Paul) against the ropes, pounding his body and knocking him out. Come on friends! He has the power to bring this guy down. Power is the last thing that will leave you.

Malignaggi wondered if Tyson, at his age, could maintain the ferocity and explosiveness that made him the heavyweight champion of the world from 1986 to 1990 and again in 1996.

“Dude, have you seen that video (of Tyson performing)?” Bradley asked.

“Five years ago,” Malignaggi replied. “This guy smokes marijuana and ‘washes his face’ every day.”

Bradley replied: “This is Mike Tyson we’re talking about.”

This prompted Algieri to exclaim, “I’m going to show you a film of (Tyson) running on a treadmill. I’m going to tell you how he plays — and it’s not the beautiful thing.

Bradley didn’t like it. “Oh, it only took two minutes to knock that Disney kid out,” Bradley said of Paul.

When told that Paul was a -220 betting favorite, Bradley exclaimed, “Oh my God!”
The
official title of the match evoked mixed feelings for Malignaggi, who was born in 1980, and he crossed his first list of childhood victories: the 1986 World Cup winner Diego Marado Na, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, professional Hulk.

“I remember the Mike Tyson mystery in the late 80s,” Malignaggi said. – This is sad for me, man. It’s not him, because someone is making money, I’m happy. But I remember waking up the morning of the Mike Tyson fight and being like, “Wow!”

——Well, I just don’t want to see him suffer. That’s all I can think of, because Jack is worse than anyone gives him credit for.

Malignaggi wonders why Paul is doing this after working so hard to develop his outside work into a full-time career, including supporting champion boxer Amanda Serrano, youth work, and awarding money for the purposes of the country.

“Jake has tried to justify himself, but has faced criticism from the media and fans,” Maligje said. – I love Jack, but at the same time, I’m torn because he’s the guy who wants the boxing world to accept him with open arms.

“But, boy, you beat a living legend at 58 and people look at you like, ‘You had a chance here….

Algieri said that when his training partner, former UFC champion Vitor Belfort, agreed to fight Tyson’s former opponent Evander Holyfield, Holyfield saw a real blow to him in the ring. “(Belfort) made fun of Evander and everyone looked down on him)… Vito had to hide after that,” Algieri warned.

Paul may already be thinking about the consequences of not winning this match. If he hasn’t already, he’s well aware of Tyson’s famous quote:

Everyone has a plan until they get slapped in the face.

The grandmother may be Tyson’s own, or the grandmother may be a beloved old story.
